Welcome to ENOTECA WINE SHOP located in Napa Valley in the quaint little town of Calistoga. The store is dedicated to ferreting out and offering the finest savory wines in the world by small artisanal producers.
Enoteca (“ee-no-teck-a”) is an Italian word meaning a wine cellar or special wine library. Here is where you can find treasures from $9 for bargain hunters, on up to 4-figures for collectors.
Something for Everyone: specializing in small artisanal producers doesn’t necessarily mean expensive–although it CAN in the case of some serious collectors’ “unobtainia,” which we have.
MargauX doesn’t host tastings in-shop, but she does have a mail-order Wine Club with monthly or quarterly shipments, starting at $25 a bottle. Her offerings include a large selection of local as well as European wines.
“when local winemakers hold blind tastings for staff, they shop here.”
“I’m interested in wines from all over the world.”

“Margaux Singleton is a longtime Napa insider. She opened her Calistoga wine shop in 1997 and has cultivated relationships with many of the region’s top winemakers, including fraternal superstars Luc and Nicolas Morlet.
Thanks to such long-standing relationships, Ms. Singleton receives allotments of many hard-to-get Napa wines. Screaming Eagle founding owner Jean Phillips used to transfer cases of her cult wine into the trunk of Ms. Singleton’s car. Though Ms. Phillips has since sold the winery, Ms. Singleton still receives her bottles of Screaming Eagle—albeit more conventionally.” – Lettie Teague, The Wall Street Journal
“Enoteca Wine Shop, run by the incomparable Margaux Singleton, is one of the most well-appointed wine shops anywhere in Northern California. You’ll find rare bottlings from around the world there, as well as hand-picked bargains that Margaux has discovered.”
